Mailer

With over 600 members now registered, the MASCIP Committee has established a list-server facility called MASCIP Mailer on its website with the support of Stewarts Solicitors, our website sponsors.  For those of you unfamiliar with this facility, a list-server is a web-based tool which allows MASCIP members to e-mail other listed members and exchange information or viewpoints of topical interest.  Only registered MASCIP members will be able to use this facility via a members-only link on the website.

If you wish to sign-up for this facility in advance, please e-mail paul.harrison@sth.nhs.uk with the name under which you are entered on the MASCIP register and the e-mail address you wish to use. Please note that if you have changed your address or place of work since your original registration, you will need to update your registration details by emailing anji.aykroyd@buckshosp.nhs.uk, our Membership Secretary.

HOW TO USE THE MASCIP MAILER:

1)     Register as a MASCIP Member
2)     Wait until you receive your Membership Number
3)     E-mail paul.harrison@sth.nhs.uk with your Full Name and MASCIP Number
4)     Receive a confirmation e-mail that you have been added to the list
5)     Enter and start using the MASCIP Mailer:

  • Your username is your MASCIP Membership Number
  • Your Password is your Surname

The MASCIP Mailer is an effective tool for supporting a number of activities associated with disseminating information or acquiring new knowledge. If the MASCIP membership participates fully then any message or enquiry sent via the list-serve will reach, at least 600 other people interested in SCI. At least one person within each of the 12 UK and Irish SCI Centres and many others caring for SCI people beyond the Centres will read your message and possibly respond. It will also probably attract the attention of at least one member of each of the disciplines represented within the MASCIP membership. So sign up and join in with the latest on-line conversations regarding the initial and continuing care and management of SCI people both within and outside of SCI Centres.

Normal rules of e-mail etiquette and the mail user policies of your employer or service provider apply to all list-serve users. Misuse of this service will result in removal from the list.
