The Spinal Injuries Association has long been aware of the importance of Expert Witnesses in personal injury cases, especially when dealing with such a complex area as spinal cord injury, and last year we relaunched our half day Expert Witness Seminars in order to help promote a greater understanding of their role. These seminars are kindly supported by Irwin Mitchell Solicitors LLP.

The seminars aim to not only increase the knowledge of existing experts but also give health professionals who may be considering becoming experts (in any field) what is expected of them. It will also, of course, be of interest to members of the legal profession, as they will hear direct from experts themselves. All speakers involved in the seminars are experts on spinal cord injury and we are delighted to be working, along with Irwin Mitchell, with Byrom Street Chambers and Community Case Management Services on this event.

The first seminar is being held at Irwin Mitchell’s London office on Wednesday 27 September 2017 (1pm to 5pm approx), with another being scheduled in the North West in March 2018 (details TBC). The programme for the London seminar is attached.
