With poor bowel health and chronic constipation debilitating thousands of people in the UK, the aim of Bowel Independence Day is to communicate clinical best practice and recommended pathways on the taboo issue of bowel dysfunction. 

During the event, a webinar will be hosted by leading practitioners Dr Anton Emmanuel (Consultant Gastroenterologist at University College Hospital and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery) and Dr Benjamin Disney (Consultant Gastroenterologist at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust). 

They will cover key subject areas such as the impact of constipation on the NHS, real life stories of patient impact, updated knowledge on the cost of constipation and information on best practice care pathway.
