Managing spinal cord injury – The needs of the child & young person study day

25th May 2017

Thursday 25 May 2017
Mercure Holland House Hotel, Redcliffe Hill, Bristol, BS1 6SQ

The world of paediatric spinal cord injury is a gap many health professionals have in
their knowledge, and this Study Day is an excellent opportunity to hear about this
specialist area from a team of experts in this field.
The Study Day will involve presentations from clinicians, therapists and a psychologist from
the National Spinal Injuries Centre. It will look at areas including growth and development,
community re-integration (education and employment) and the psychological aspects of
rehabilitation and transitions.

The day will also provide healthcare professionals, working in non-specialist settings, with
knowledge of the complex and sometimes unique issues that affect people with spinal
cord injury. As well as presentations, there will be opportunity to discuss any specific
queries you may have on this subject with the speakers, both during the breaks and at the
panel discussion at the end of the day.

Event costs:
NHS professionals - £50 +VAT
Non-NHS professionals - £100 +VAT
