The Princess Royal Spinal Injuries Centre are planning to run a Study Day for Qualified Nurses – particularly Tissue Viability Nurses and Community Nurses caring for Spinal Cord Injured Patients with Skin Integrity problems.

The day will include …

• an A&P overview session
• a taught session from one of our Consultants about Surgical Repair of pressure sore
• the pros and cons of surgical management vs conservative management
• exploring the patient experience
• how to support a SCI individual with a pressure sore in the community

We have 2 potential 2017 dates for this SD …

As this is a new SD, we are very much looking at these 2 dates as a pilot so there will only be a small charge of £15 – to cover refreshments and buffet lunch .
