Virtual Learning Now Available for Healthcare Professionals with the SIA Academy

Whilst unable to provide face-to-face education or training at the moment, the Spinal Injuries Association (SIA) Academy has adapted its programme to provide virtual learning for healthcare professionals.

The SIA Academy is now able to offer bespoke virtual education sessions on spinal cord injury which are facilitated live over Zoom by members of the SCI Nurse Specialist Team. As well as education on a number of different key issues affecting people with SCI, the popular Managing the Neurogenic Bowel Following SCI training day has also been adapted as a theory-only module, providing education around this subject to enable delegates to then receive skills training and assessment by a supervising Registered Nurse.

A full list of options, along with costs, is available on the SIA website, or contact Karen Mikalsen on k.mikalsen@spinal.co.uk for more information.
